Oriental Retreat & Spa FAQ

Oriental Retreat & Spa and the outside grounds are a non-smoking environment. To avoid disturbing the enjoyment of anyone's session, we ask that ALL cell phones, pagers and car alarms must be turned off during your visit to our Spa.

Are your spa treatment products truly herbal and natural?
We use only the finest-quality products. No artificial ingredients, chemicals or synthetic scents are used in any of our treatments. Even our signature holistic spa treatments are unique to that fact that we prepare our products fresh right before your session!

Can I eat before my massage or spa treatment?
Do not eat a heavy meal prior to your spa session. We would also appreciate it if you did not smoke on your way to your appointment.

What about my jewelry and other other valuables?
To be on the safe side, please leave all jewelry and valuables at home. Oriental Retreat & Spa and its staff will not be held responsible for any lost or misplaced items.

Do you offer discounted packages for your spa and massage services?
Discounted spa packages are available for all of our services. These spa packages can be used by you or with your verbal permission for your family and friends.

All discount series packages are non-refundable and are good for spa services only.

Note: if you schedule an appointment for someone on your series spa package card and they do not show up for the appointment, your spa card will be charged for the service.

Do your offer gift certificates for your massage and spa services?
Gift Certificates are available for any of our spa services. Gift certificates can be purchased for a particular service or for a specific dollar amount. Gift certificates can also be purchased in advance over the phone by credit card.

All gift certificates expire one year from date of purchase.

Should I tip the spa staff for treatment received?
Like most personal services rendered, gratuities are not included in the cost of the services. A 15-18% gratuity is suggested for good service received.

How far in advance should I reserve my spa appointment?
All spa and massage appointments are reserved 24 hours in advance. Please schedule your appointments by phone. Our website inquiry form is a great way to inquire about additional information, or if you have questions about a particular massage therapy or spa treatment.

Please allow yourself sufficient time to arrive 10-15 minutes early. If you are going to be late for your spa appointment, please call so that we may adjust the time of your session to keep the schedule on track for the next client's appointment.

First time clients are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled spa appointment. This will allow you ample time to complete a health/history intake form and to use the restroom so that your session will begin on time.
